Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the "sacraments of Christian initiation", whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of the baptismal grace. For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with the special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed." (cc 1285)

At St. Helen, Confirmation is a 2-year program beginning in 7th Grade. Please contact Maria Flauto 440-564-5805 x205 for more information or to register your child. 

Adults that wish to received the sacrament of Confirmation will need to attend RCIA (Rite of Catholic Initiation of Adults) for further information on RCIA contact Jim Hogan 440-564-5805 x204.
