Book Discussion Group
Meets the 4th Monday of the month in the Bride's Room at 1:00 pm from September through June. The group picks from classics, best sellers, fiction and non-fiction.
Individuals bake for various organizational events and fundraisers and funerals.
This program is an ongoing fund raiser for the Church and School through the sale of gift cards. There are 28 different gift cards in stock with approximately 20 more available by special order. The gift cards are on sale year round in the cafeteria after the Sunday morning Masses and through the School and Parish Offices during the week. Volunteers sell the gift cards on Sunday, fill orders during the week and keep the records for the program. We are in need of volunteers, particularly on Sundays.
Coffee and Donuts
This social gathering takes place in the cafeteria following the 7:30, 9:15, 11:00 am Sunday Masses. Individuals or couples are needed to set up, serve, and cleanup.
Convenant of Love Date Nights
Open to all married couples; includes prayers, scriptures, catechism, small group formation; meets the last Saturday of each month April through December.
The Lenten Fish Fry is meant to be a time of sharing with family and friends to build up the community of our parish. All those volunteering their time and the treasure of their talents preparing the fresh food, serving or cleaning up afterwards make this ministry possible.

This is our parish newsletter containing articles, news, interviews of interest. It is mailed to each parishioner household.
St. Helen Ladies' Guild promotes sociability among its members, works for the general welfare and needs of the Church, and encourages spiritual and material undertakings that are recommended by our pastor, Father Jay. The Guild is open to all women of the parish. Activities include funeral luncheons, Annual Rummage Sale, Father Jay's Birthday Breakfast, and the Christmas Party Luncheon. The meeting is held the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 2:00 pm in the Bride's Room.
Marriage Enrichment Course
This course is open to all married couples; designed to strengthen any marriage - no matter how long the duration; and presented in a series of eight Saturday nights January through March.
St. Helen Picnic Committee starts planning the Parish Picnic in January. The picnic is held at Wiegand's Lake Park on a Sunday during the summer. Volunteers are always welcome.
We the people of St. Helen Parish, 55 years of age and older, meet to form an organization of older adults. We come together to share spiritual, social and educational experiences. Activities include lunches at interesting places, pilgrimages, casino bus trips, visits to local museums, historical sites, observatories and other attractions.
We are a group of women over fifty who meet socially for dinner at various restaurants on the first Monday of each month. We are not officially part of the International Red Hat Society; however we do don our red hats and deck out in something purple for our dinners. Members-in-waiting (those under fifty) must wear a pink hat and something lavender.
Retrouvaille is a Diocesan program which offers hope to couples who live in the pain and disappointment of a marriage in trouble. By offering couples a new model for communication, Retrouvaille provides a new chance for couples to rediscover each other and to explore the positive qualities which fist brought them together. This program consists of a weekend and six follow-up sessions. (Check ministry racks for more information.)
Provides food services for retreats, renewals, receptions and other parish events.
Guide Book & Directory
Gathers, updates, and formats the parishioner data for the Directory; and the ministry, organizations and activities going on in our parish.
Organizes information racks hanging in the vestibule which serve as a permanent ministry fair providing the "Who, What, When and Where" of the ministries, organizations and activities going on in our parish.
Time, Talent & Treasure
Conducts the ministry appeal, tabulates and distributes the data.
Provides information, directions and resources to meet the needs of our parishioners and visitors to our Church to ensure that they feel at home, that they belong, and that they are appreciated here.
